J.D. Law Student, Vermont Law and Graduate School

Ashley Mejia is a third-year law student at Vermont Law and Graduate School with an interest in business and transactional law. She has experience assisting with nonprofit formation, business entity formation, and drafting agreements, including purchase and service contracts. Ashley is particularly interested in supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs, and has gained practical exposure to regulatory and licensing requirements through her work researching cottage food laws and commercial food regulations in Connecticut.

In addition to her legal studies, Ashley is actively working toward building her own business, which has strengthened her understanding of the legal and operational aspects of starting and managing a business. She looks forward to working with clients through the Small Business Law Clinic to provide practical, accessible legal support. Outside of law school, Ashley is passionate about entrepreneurship and developing sustainable, health-focused food businesses.
