SUMMARY:Business Contracts 101: Understanding Common Agreements
DESCRIPTION:The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC)\, in partnership with the Vermont Small Business Law Center\, will host two upcoming educational workshops designed to help small business owners understand legal issues that commonly arise in day-to-day operations. \nThis first session will cover foundational contract concepts and terms\, key risk considerations\, and practical guidance for small businesses looking at common contracts such as customer/job terms and conditions\, MOUs\, leases\, or sales agreements. Following a one-hour presentation\, participants may sign up for a 15-minute breakout session for more specific questions in small groups or one-on-one. Participants are welcome to bring their own contracts that they are contemplating\, with the understanding that education and information will be offered\, and not legal advice relating to specific documents. \nRegister here. Both workshops are offered free of charge as part of BDCC’s ongoing business technical assistance programming and partnership with regional resource providers \n  \n\nTo Request a 15-minute breakout session: \nParticipants interested in the 15-minute breakout consultation during the second hour of the session must email Danielle Delaini at BDCC in advance.
